Why should YOU give to the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus?
Thanks to donors like you, the world-famous San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus has been able to reach out to the San Diego community like never before with our uplifting message of love and acceptance. We are singers on a mission—every day we are changing hearts and minds—making a positive, joyful, and lasting impact on our community.
Why YOU should support SDGMC—especially now
Our exciting work with the gay choruses of Mexico City and Tijuana is part of our efforts to build awareness around the challenges of the LGBTQIA+ community across the border. We performed in Mexico City in July, and now, the Mexico City chorus will be joining us at GALA Festival in Minneapolis to perform a special version of STRONGER TOGETHER.
The Chorus is using its platform to build awareness of issues affecting our community by working with organizations like Voices of Our City Choir, to put a face on the plight of the unhoused in San Diego County and how homelessness greatly impacts the queer community.
SDGMC also piloted a new Schools Program in 2023 as preparation for a larger initiative across the 2023–2024 school year.
The San Diego Union-Tribune has named us “San Diego's Gay Ambassadors.” That's because our members make up San Diego’s most active and visible LGBTQIA+ organization. Every time we sing in a neighborhood, on stage, or at a city event, new people—of all ages, beliefs, and backgrounds—are introduced to our community.
As friends and supporters of the Chorus, you know the arts will be a crucial and important part of our healing as a community.
San Diego Gay Men's Chorus is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and contributions are tax-deductible for income, gift, and estate taxes. Our EIN is 33-0522770.
